I don't want to cook this year so I was thinking of taking the family out for Christmas lunch but I'm having trouble finding venues. I'm in Canberra. Any ideas? Thanks

NO! don't go to a restaurantfor Christmas lunch! maybe get the whole family together somewhere by the water and make everyone bring something and have a great picnic in the sun. Or in the very least eat at a restaurant where there is somewhere you can sit outside. You should never be inside on Christmas day!

Maybe you could get some food and go down to tuggranong lake (or Burley Griffin) and have a BBQ. There are plenty of BBQs at either location and you can sit on the shores of the lake while the kids play on the playground or paddle in the lake.
I would'nt reccommend eating out for Christmas lunch, it is REALLY expensive :(
It usually costs $25-$50 PER HEAD! So unless your rich, I suggest having a BBQ or Picnic.
